The Greys is integrated by Sam Fatehmanesh and Ethan Nam. Both are 9th-grade students. The boys voluntarily wanted to design, build and program a robot. About a year ago, they decided to participate in Vex Robotics Tournaments.  Robotics competitions require a solid understanding of math, coding, and engineering.  In addition, the Vex Robotics Tournament requires being creative and problem-solving to build the robot.  Sam and Ethan from the beginning show that they have those skills and are interested in learning about and working with robots and think like robotic engineers. Both are dedicated students who are working hard for many hours, days and weeks without stopping. Both students started their team with zero or little knowledge about Vex robotics but they were determined to succeed and compete. These students were able to design and build a robot that competed against opponents in a series of specific challenges. In a short time and with little experience in tournaments The Greys team was able to participate in three tournaments before they qualified for the state tournament and the national tournament.
